We’ve got a plan to grow CRHE. And we need your help.
Dear CRHE Supporter,
I’ll get right to it. Here’s the truth: for years, the Coalition For Responsible Home Education has been largely a labor of love, staffed by committed volunteers and contract workers. Over the next year as interim executive director, my goal is to transform it into a lasting and financially sustainable institution.
To accomplish that goal,I need your help.
Over the past seven years, CRHE has achieved some incredible things in advocating for homeschooled children. Here’s just a sample:
Our government relations team has developed a set of policy recommendations, advocated for responsible oversight in over a dozen states and territories, and helped craft successful legislation in Georgia.
That’s a remarkable record of accomplishment. It describes an organization that’s desperately needed — and that needs to grow. So now it’s time to take CRHE to the next level.
There’s so much more that we can do with more resources — and we’re already doing some of it. We’re exploring research partnerships with other nonprofits. We’re growing our press list and refining our media outreach. We’re expanding our development work. But to keep these efforts going, we need a permanent executive director who can carry these projects forward in a sustainable way.
If that sounds like a lot, it is. But we’re not starting from scratch. Since March, all of our board members and many of our staff have contributed, and our supporters have helped, too. We’re already 70% of the way to our goal.
Now we need your help to get the rest of the way there. If you’ve ever considered giving to CRHE, now is the time. CRHE is the only voice for homeschooled children and alumni, and we have so much work left to do. If you help CRHE hire a salaried executive director, we can not only continue to speak for homeschooled children; we can fight and win for them, too.
Sincerely,
Jeremy C. Young (he/him)

Here’s the plan: when my time as interim executive director is up, CRHE needs a new part-time executive director — and we need to pay them a salary. To make that happen, we need to raise at least $30,000 by March 2022.
If that sounds like a lot, it is. But we’re not starting from scratch. Since March, all of our board members and many of our staff have contributed, and our supporters have helped, too. We’re already 70% of the way to our goal.
